For the 5th consecutive year the ICMCC Event is the leading international event dealing with patient-related ICT, focusing in 2008 on information related aspects, patient record access, electronic health records and behavioral compunetics. A high quality paper presentation programme representing some of the leading researchers in the field will be offered as well as an outstanding forum of key-note speakers.
Day 1 offers 6 parallel sessions on the following subjects:
- National and Regional Projects (Projects from India, The Netherlands, Romania and Canada)
- Aspects of Electronic Health Records
- European Projects (HOST, NEXES, INHOME, Healthwear, HEARTFAID)
- Knowledge Management
- Platforms
- Behavioral Compunetics
Day 2 offers an interesting array of keynote speeches, a.o. by prof. Graeme Catto (president of the GMC), prof. Georges Kutukdjian (UNESCO), dr Rajeev Bali (University of Coventry) and drs Lodewijk Bos (President ICMCC) on various aspects of health information. This is followed with a series of exciting empowerment presentations. The day ends with a panel discussion, details of which will be announced soon.
Day 3 is entirely dedicated to a workshop on Personal Health Paradigm Challenging Citizens and Patients, organized by Prof. Bernd Blobel, in cooperation with the European Federation for Medical Informatics, Working Groups "Electronic Health Records" and "Security, Safety and Ethics". The workshop has scheduled outstanding presenters from the USA, the UK, Germany, Finland and Ireland.
