ICT Information Day & Brokerage Event 2009

29 - 30 April 2009, Brno, Czech Republic.
This is one of the official events held under the Czech Presidency of the European Union and is an accompanying event of the conference "Research Connection 2009". It will focus on mobilising key research actors and companies from all over Europe, in particular from neighbouring regions, to collaborate and establish partnerships in ICT research and development.

Masaryk University, Brno University of Technology, South Moravian Innovation Centre, Regional Chamber of Commerce Brno, Transport Research Centre and FIRST Innovation Park organize in collaboration with the European Commission, DG INFSO, and invited EU project coordinators, partnering event in the field of Information and Communication Technologies of the 7th Framework Programme (ICT, FP7).

ICT Brokerage Event 2009, which is one of the projects of the Regional Innovation Strategy of South Moravian Region (RIS 3), will be held in Brno, the second largest city of the Czech Republic and a strong base of research and innovation planning huge investments into top class infrastructure in the field of ICT. The brokerage event will be accompanied by information day on the following challenges of the ICT Work Programme 2009:

  • Pervasive and trusted network and service infrastructure
  • Cognitive systems, interaction and robotics
  • Components, systems and engineering
  • Digital libraries and content
  • Towards sustainable and personalised healthcare
  • ICT for mobility, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency
