conhIT 2011 Showcases all Aspects of Healthcare IT

conhIT 20115 - 7 April 2011, Berlin, Germany.
Without doubt mobile healthcare IT solutions will be one of the innovative topics at conhIT 2011, which is due to take place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Many of the exhibitors will be displaying their latest products, including smartphones, tablet PCs and other end devices, in Berlin. Visitors will be able to gain a first-hand glimpse of the future of mobile documentation in the medical field.

Mobile applications for all professional groups
At the stand of Siemens AG Healthcare Sector (Hall 2.2, B-102) visitors will be able to see how the Soarian Clinicals hospital information system (KIS) operates on an Android platform for smartphones and the iPad. There will also be demonstrations of mobile doctors' rounds with i.s.h.med and a range of functionalities from medico on the iPad. Tieto Deutschland GmbH (Hall 2.2, B-101) uses a mobile integrated platform for its KIS iMedOne application, which runs a mobile documentation app at the point of care. During a mobile doctor's round this app enables the user to work with several low-cost end devices, thus drastically simplifying communications between doctors and nursing staff when issuing prescriptions.

At the stand of MEIERHOFER AG (Hall 1.2, B-103) the focus is also on mobile solutions. The electronic patient file and interactive graphs provide mobile access to the KIS MCC using a wide range of end devices. Using the Capsule Neuron platform, which is integrated in MCC, doctors and nursing staff can use a spot check monitor to record vital patient data directly at the patient's bedside and to transfer it in real time to the electronic patient file. It is not only the large KIS manufacturers who are occupied with mobile solutions. Cologne-based LOWTeq GmbH (Hall 2.2, B-101) is the supplier of premed2go, a mobile application which anaesthetists can use to document their pre-medication rounds on a smartphone. procilon IT-Solutions GmbH (Hall 1.2, B-112) is concerned with safety, and is presenting an encrypting stick with a Drag&Drop function that enables users to protect documents and images on their business travels or wherever they happen to be working.

Innovative solutions for cooperating with partners
Numerous exhibitors at conhIT 2011 are also focusing on interdisciplinary treatment. comdoxx-casemanager software, marketed by mediatiXX GmbH & Co. KG (Hall 1,2, A-104), for example, enables group medical practices to implement national treatment guidelines or to define their own treatment guidelines completely independently. Visitors to the stand of CompuGroup Medical AG (Hall 1.2, D-103) at conhIT 2011 can take a look at CGM Future.net, a solution that is not only used to link medical practices, medical care centres, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics, but which also includes a personal health file, thereby integrating patients.

InterComponentWare AG (Hall 2.2, A-104) is the supplier of the new ICW eHealth platform, the advantages of which are as follows: in addition to providing directly usable standards-based products the platform’s components make it possible to handle a whole variety of different eHealth scenarios, including referral portals, solutions for regional image distribution and treatment management.

iSOFT Health GmbH (Hall 1.2, C-106) places the emphasis on interoperability and process innovation. iSOFT Portal and the schedule and resource planning application provide a comprehensive healthcare relationship management solution which enables processes to be individually shaped.

Data management, medical financial management and business intelligence innovations
Naturally, apart from the latest topics such as mobile solutions and cooperation, the focus is also on established healthcare IT applications at conhIT 2011. Thus VISUS GmbH (Hall 2.2, D-103) is presenting its JiveX integration platform for comprehensive image data management at medical facilities. FUJIFILM Deutschland (Hall 1.2, E-101) is also active in this field, and is exhibiting innovative modules for its SYNAPSE PACS, for example tools for displaying images in 3-D.

Business intelligence solutions enabling a rapid and comprehensive analysis of treatment data are of interest not so much to medical staff, but more so and especially to health facility managers. RZV GmbH (Hall 1.2, A-102) is the supplier of CLINICAL COCKPIT, a management information system which integrates financial management, patient management, personnel management and medical systems data. D-Care software is a development by LCC Consulting AG which visualizes case management in integrated treatment scenarios. DRG-Profi ID GmbH & Co. KG aA has added numerous innovative features to its DRG workplace, enabling interactive DRG grouping, for example. What is more, multiple diagnosis procedure combinations can be encoded at the same time, which means that the cumbersome process of entering a diagnosis and procedure separately is now a thing of the past.
