The Continuity of Care Framework
WoHIT 2014 will open with a plenary of European government, hospital and industry leaders who will share their vision on how they are re-inventing healthcare delivery, by supporting the establishment of a Continuity of Care framework. The goal will be to create an international model to evaluate the maturity of healthcare delivery outside of acute care settings.

Big Data: Predictive Analytics for Healthcare
Big Data is the new buzz word and speakers at WoHIT 2014 will address how big data in healthcare can be used to see the future of a patient's progress from symptoms to cure. Analytical systems harnessing the power of stored health data compared against volumes of medical research give patients and clinicians the tools they need to speed a patient's recovery or avoid potential complications well before they occur. Global leaders and leading healthcare organizations will demonstrate how they are using big data to support their decisions leading to better outcomes for patients everywhere.

Mobile Health for Clinicians and Patients
Market research suggests that Europe could save €100 billion by 2017 to fully realize the benefits of mHealth and remote monitoring. But how are healthcare leaders adopting mobile solutions in their countries? Leading healthcare institutions will showcase how patient portals have been deployed to enable patient access to appointments, laboratory test results and secure communications with clinicians. Clinicians will also showcase how mobile technologies are enabling them to care for more patients in more places.
