Speaker: Prof. George De Moor, Head of Medical Informatics of Ghent University and President of the EuroRec Institute, Belgium

  • This online seminar is the chance to learn first hand about the latest developments in the drive towards standards and interoperability of Electronic Healthcare Record Systems (EHRs) in Europe. You will also have the opportunity to share with other colleagues from all over the EMEA region your particular problems and to discover new solutions with them. HIMMS EMEA will host this online seminar for EuroRec.
  • The eSeminar series is an example of how HIMSS EMEA is using the latest communication tools to fulfil its goal of providing the best education available to its members. Forthcoming topics for this monthly series include: Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS); Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE); portals and data repositories.
  • Each seminar lasts an hour with the speaker's address lasting about half an hour followed by an interactive Questions and Answers session. To take part in the debate, all you need to do is simply register and have access to the Internet and a speakerphone.
