Be it electronic patient information software or a video conference system that brings in an interpreter whenever a refugee visits the doctor - this year at the conhIT eHealth Slam software and app developers can again showcase their practical eHealth projects to a wide audience in entertaining ways, in the shape of a poem, interview or live experiment. The three best presentations, which will be delivered in the conhIT Networking Area, will receive prize money totalling 850 euros.
Anyone interested in the event is invited to apply. The deadline is 10 February 2017. Applicants are required to submit a brief CV, a short abstract and a short video about their project. A panel consisting of students, scientists and members of industry will look at all the projects and select those which promise an entertaining lecture on the eHealth sector. The final selection will be announced on 27 March 2017.
The eHealth Slam, at which speakers have six minutes to present their project and topic, will take place at conhIT on 26 April. The expert audience will then pick the three winners. More than 9,000 visitors and over 450 exhibitors from 16 countries are expected to attend conhIT 2017.
Exhibitors are also invited to submit applications by 10 February 2017 to hold brief lectures at an Innovation Session and to present their products during guided tours of the fair. The Innovation Session, which will look at innovative products, ideas and topical subjects, will take place on 26 April 2017 from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. Any visitor can take part in the guided tours, which will focus on individual subjects, take one hour and are free of charge. Exhibitors at conhIT 2017 can apply to present their products under ten different headings. The tours will address widely discussed topics. They include safe drug treatment (AMTS), the electronic patient record, IT safety and security, forward-looking topics such as intelligent assistance systems & PHealth, IT solutions in nursing, patient empowerment, and innovations in mHealth such as apps, wearables and FHIR (HL7).
