Under the new 10 year contract, System C will supply a managed service for the Medway PAS together with a range of acute patient care modules that will integrate with the Trust's existing systems. Once introduced, it will help staff to better capture and share information, improve working practices, efficiency and operational performance.
The contract includes comprehensive deployment support for administrative and clinical workflows across all care settings.
Graham Softley, Associate Director for IT & Strategy at Buckinghamshire NHS Healthcare Trust commented: "We conducted a rigorous procurement process with input from clinicians and staff groups at the Trust. For us, Medway is the right way because it will simplify and enhance the way we access and use our information, while supporting our mission to deliver safe and compassionate care every time."
He continued: "This is a big project, and we wanted a supplier with lots of deployment experience to get us across the line safely. We are very pleased to have selected System C."
Markus Bolton, joint chief executive of System C, commented: "Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust leads the field in many areas and we are delighted to have the opportunity to deploy Medway at a Trust of this size and stature."
System C has deployed 18 Medway EPRs in the last 24 months. Over the years the company has moved Trusts from a variety of legacy systems, including McKesson TotalCare, CSC iPM, IBA ICIS, EDS Swift, K-PAS, CSC Clinicom, and Ascribe's Barwick.
