viomedo Provides Access to Innovative Treatment Methods

viomedoInformation overload is a common and significant problem with most existing clinical trial search platforms or applications. viomedo makes clinical trial information easily accessible to everybody based on a variety of criteria and by following patient-centric approaches. So far, viomedo online platform aggregates about close to 2.000 clinical trials conducted in Germany.

viomedo's founder Alexander Puschilov mentioned: "We are convinced, that everybody has the right to get the best possible therapy! This is why we’ve built viomedo to help patients discover and benefit from innovative treatment methods that were previously accessible only to a few lucky patients."

viomedo's reported main functionality and features are:

  • The platform aggregates information about close to 2.000 open trials in Germany that are both investigator and industry initiated that cover most known diseases. Patients can find the trial with a convenient search by their disease name or select a disease from a list.
  • Patients see the trial’s most relevant information in a way that they can understand. That empowers them to decide independently if the trial is worth participating in.
  • Patients can contact the closest clinical trial site location conveniently via viomedo. After a personal screening interview with the investigator they can make an educated decision about their participation.

viomedo's team developed the platform using the input, requirements and the feedback of the patients enrolled in clinical trials and the suggestions and expectations of healthcare professionals. "We want to bring transparency into the field of clinical-studies in order to connect patients and providers," Puschilov says. "And there is definitely a need for patient-centered platforms like viomedo. The collected clinical trials information represented on the platform combined with the platform's usability frames makes viomedo the central, most advanced and ambitious focal point for clinical research in Germany."
