CompuGroup Medical AG Second Quarter Results 2015

CompuGroup Medical AGCompuGroup Medical AG today presented the financial report for the second quarter of 2015. The company, one of the leading global providers of eHealth solutions, achieved revenue of EUR 138 million, compared to EUR 126 million in the second quarter 2014. This represents an increase of 9 percent, of which 4 percent is organic growth.

With this result, the good start to the year continues for CompuGroup Medical. There is broad-based progress in most business areas and a pronounced group-wide margin increase as the most notable improvement. Consolidated EBITDA in the second quarter amounted to EUR 30 million compared to EUR 23 million in 2014. The corresponding operating margin was well above 21 percent compared to 18 percent in 2014.

The hospital segment has developed particularly well in the period and it is the market in Poland that contributes with a high organic growth rate driven by a larger CGM participation in the on-going national e-health project there. Order intake has also improved in the hospital area and CGM was in June awarded the contract for the implementation and delivery of a comprehensive new hospital information system for five regional hospitals in Vorarlberg, Austria.

Parallel to the positive financial and operational development, CGM continues its prominent role in the largest on-going eHealth initiative in Germany - the Telematics Infrastructure and Electronic Health Card (eGK) pilot project. At the Hauptstadtkongress in Berlin in June, CGM showed live for the second time the insured master data update based on the eGK. With an official real-life demonstration of all required hardware and software components fully functional, CGM shows its readiness for a successful rollout to test the Telematics Infrastructure in in the pilot region North/West.

While doing this, we also drive the electronic health card project in Germany forward with full commitment. A worthy finish to the quarter came with the our new hospital contract in Austria which shows the increasing leverage we are getting in the market from our long-time investment in our next generation G3 product platform."

CompuGroup Medical reaffirms the full year 2015 guidance presented in the 2014 Annual Report. Including revenue from recent acquisitions, Group revenue is expected to be in the range of EUR 549 million to EUR 559 million and operating income (EBITDA) is expected to be in the range of EUR 115 million to EUR 125 million.
