Editor-in-Chief, The Lancet Digital Health

Responsible for developing and launching a new monthly online-only, gold open access specialty journal for The Lancet. The Editor must be a subject expert who can shape the journal into a forum for publishing the most relevant and practice-changing research in the multidisciplinary field of digital health.

The Lancet Digital Health will publish peer-reviewed Research Articles, Commentaries, editorials and other material that will contribute to advancing digital health worldwide. Responsibilities will include arranging peer review, commissioning, writing, and other activities involved in producing an online journal to a monthly schedule. Some foreign travel will be required.

The Editor-in-Chief will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of a Senior Editor.

Candidates for the role will ideally have an MD (with clinical experience in a relevant discipline) or a PhD (in a related subject); research experience in the specialty is necessary, as in an understanding of editorial processes and journal production. Experience of launching a new journal and of managing an editorial team would be an advantage.
