Agfa HealthCare at ECR 2012

Agfa HealthCareAgfa HealthCare announces that at ECR 2012 it will demonstrate how its products and portfolios create complete and integrated solutions to meet the specific needs of healthcare facilities at the departmental, hospital and regional levels, regardless of size, workflow design or budgetary considerations.

Agfa HealthCare will give visitors the opportunity to experience anywhere/anytime patient data accessibility, as well as true 3D imaging, with solutions built upon today's leading technology. The company will highlight how its extensive range of computed radiography (CR) and direct radiography (DR) solutions co-exist within Agfa HealthCare's portfolio, offering a flexible growth path for any healthcare facility.

New, cost-effective yet versatile CR solution for lower-volume practices: CR 10-X
The CR 10-X is an affordable, table-top digitizer specially designed to offer lower-volume practices a cost-effective entry into digital imaging that doesn't compromise on image quality. This versatile solution can handle general radiography, orthopædic, chiropractic, Full Leg/Full Spine and dental applications. Using the CR10-X system, lower volume practices and private practices can take advantage of the convenient and fast workflow offered by digital radiography.

New affordable, high-volume CR solution offering excellent image quality: CR 30-Xm
CR 30-Xm is a high-volume desktop digitizer that can be used for both mammography and general radiology. It offers the same image quality as Agfa HealthCare's most advanced CR systems at a price point that further lowers barriers to digital X-ray, but without compromising on image quality.

View patient information virtually everywhere and anytime: IMPAX Data Center
IMPAX Data Center is Agfa HealthCare's leading enterprise medical imaging repository. By consolidating imaging data from different systems into a single point of storage and distribution, it plays a key role in creating a longitudinal image-enabled electronic medical record (EMR) or regional electronic health record (EHR). Using a modest internet connection and any one of the most popularly-used browsers, the XERO-powered, browser-based IMPAX Data Center Viewer offers uniform access regardless of location, delivering images and information to caregivers across a wide range of technical and physical barriers. At ECR 2012, visitors can experience and preview the works-in-progress functionality on Apple iPad mobile digital device for themselves using their own device to access Agfa HealthCare's wireless network, at the Agfa HealthCare booth.

Advanced visualization technology for true 3D: IMPAX Volume Viewing
IMPAX Volume Viewing is a set of advanced visualization tools that further maximize the productivity of IMPAX, Agfa HealthCare's proven picture archiving and communication system (PACS). A simple tool with unique functionalities, IMPAX Volume Viewing is very easy to use, but has powerful features. At ECR 2012, visitors can discover the range of IMPAX Volume Viewing 3D features that provide true 3D imaging, including CPU or GPU-based high-quality 3D volume rendering and transparent 3D volume rendering visualization of segmented data.

Explore smooth upgrade paths for enhanced functionality: PACS 2.0
Agfa HealthCare aims to offer a range of solutions to fit the needs of any healthcare enterprise, of any size. This includes complete packages for lower-volume facilities that perform fewer than 50,000 exams per year, and fewer than 100,000 exams per year. Agfa HealthCare will highlight some of these solutions at ECR 2012, such as IMPAX 6.5 combined with XERO-powered viewing, which offers an easy upgrade for existing customers, and easy implementation for new customers.

Complete, automated digital X-ray room combining fluoroscopy and radiography exposures: DX-D 800
The DX-D 800 is a complete digital X-ray room fitted with a dynamic, portable and removable flat-panel detector. It is a multi-purpose system that allows both fluoroscopy and the broadest range of radiology exams, including full leg/full spine with automatic image stitching. A remote controlled table positioning is programmed in each anatomic protocol, offering excellent ergonomy.

An easy and affordable way to go Direct Digital: DX-D Retrofit
The DX-D Retrofit offers an easy and affordable way to go Direct Digital while maximizing the use of existing X-ray equipment. Comprising a flat-panel detector, retrofit box and the NX workstation with MUSICA2 software, it is a non-invasive, connection-only solution that will upgrade an X-ray modality to DR, without replacing the existing equipment.
