Allscripts Appointed to Health Systems Support Framework

AllscriptsAllscripts has secured a place on the Health Systems Support Framework that has been issued by NHS England. The framework contract has been developed to support the Five Year Forward View and Ten Year Plan agenda of integrated health and care services, population-level analysis and planning, and patient engagement.

It will give organisations, including sustainability and transformation partnerships and integrated care services, easier access to the technology they need to develop these services.

Steve Brain, vice president and managing director, Allscripts UK said: “We are very pleased to see the publication of this framework.

"It promises to make it significantly easier and quicker for organisations to procure the solutions they need to make a real difference to the health and care service and to its patients and users.

"We look forward to being able to show commissioners and providers the breadth of capability that we have and that our partners are able to provide."

Allscripts has been appointed to a place on lot 2b on the framework, which covers the wide range of infrastructure, systems and services required to deliver local health and care record solutions.

These sit at the heart of the health and care reform agenda, by supporting information sharing between organisations and care teams delivering integrated care, providing data for analysis and research, and helping to create new services built around user needs.

Allscripts is a leading provider of healthcare IT to the UK, where it has a headquarters in Manchester. It has a significant installed base of trusts using its patient administration system and Sunrise electronic patient record.

It also has a suite of population health and connected community solutions, including dbMotion, a health information exchange that aggregates data from disparate systems and delivers it as a complete patient record at the point of care.

These solutions are already in use in Salford Royal and Dudley. In May this year The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust announced that had gone live with Sunrise and that it was using dbMotion to share information with local GPs.

Brain added: "We are already working with health and care organisations across the country that want to deliver integrated models of care for their patient populations.

"Now we have secured a place on the Health Systems Support Framework, we look forward to working with more areas that are looking for a sound platform on which to build a maturing digital roadmap."
