A&E doctors are now able to provide safer emergency care round the clock to some 500,000 patients across the Bristol area - thanks to a secure electronic record sharing agreement with 50 local GP practices. The Patient Record Network (PRN) enables A&E doctors to view patient records within minutes via EMIS' EPR Viewer, which makes key information from the patient's GP record available to other clinicians.

EMIS Web Most Widely Used GP System
EMIS has announced a major landmark in the rollout of EMIS Web - over 2,000 GP practices have now upgraded to the transformational healthcare system, making it the most widely used GP system in England. A total of 2,007 GP practices have moved to EMIS Web, with orders placed for a further 1,200; 2,564 practices have joined the EMIS GP familiarisation service, as a first step to upgrading to the system.
