CSC Appoints Andy Williams as President of Northern Europe's Business Operations

CSCCSC (NYSE:CSC) announced that Andy Williams has been named president of CSC's Northern Europe business operations, which includes the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and the Nordic countries. In addition, Williams will have responsibility for the company's Managed Services business across EMEA. He will report to Russ Owen, president of CSC's Managed Services Sector. Williams joins CSC from Alcatel-Lucent, where he was most recently president of the company's successful and fast-growing services business.

"Andy's extensive expertise in IT services and telecommunications, coupled with a proven track record of leading and growing large, diverse businesses, makes him ideally suited to lead our business across the region," said Owen. "His background will play an important role in helping our clients focus on restructuring their operations and shaping business transformation initiatives as the economy recovers."

Williams' leadership role will give him the opportunity to drive new client acquisition, growth and profitability across CSC's EMEA business, capitalizing on CSC's strong reputation for delivery in both the private and public sectors and its expertise in Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity and other emerging technologies.

Williams' IT career includes 25 years working for IBM in a number of senior positions, most recently as general manager of IBM Global Services' Public Sector Services business in EMEA, prior to his joining Alcatel-Lucent in 2005. He holds a Masters degree from Cambridge University.
