conhIT 2011: the Programme of Europe's Meeting Place for Healthcare IT is online

conhIT 20115 - 7 April 2011 Berlin, Germany.
As of today, attendees and exhibitors of conhIT 2011 may download the conhIT Programme Flyer from the website of the meeting place of the Healthcare IT sector. It provides detailed information about key topics, events, and presentations offered at conhIT.

Europe's largest event on IT in Healthcare focuses on solutions and offerings which, on the one hand, demonstrate to staff in care provider organizations how they can work more efficiently and more economically, and how, on the other hand, they can optimize care for patients and sustainably support health.

At the conhIT Industrial Fair, exhibitors show the complete bandwidth of products and services of healthcare IT - every day from 11:00 to 18:00. Guided tours will enable attendees to inform themselves about specific topics, and on each day of the event, excursions will be offered, free of charge, to nearby hospitals which will serve to illustrate IT in practical use to attendees.

Until end of January, already 160 exhibitors had booked their spaces for the Industry exhibit. This amounts to an increase of approximately 10 percent compared to the period in the previous year. Registrations continue to be possible.

In addition to the Industrial Fair, the continuing education offerings of the Congress (sessions with presentations) and the Academy (interactive seminars) - every day, 09:00-13:00 - are core elements of conhIT.

In addition to all presentations at the Congress with its twelve sessions defined by topics, the programme flyer contains information on the seminars of the Academy, the Networking events, as well as the pre- conference programme of GMDS e.V. - the German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometrics, and Epidemiology - and BVMI e.V. - the German Medical Computer Scientists Association.

The programme of the Congress was put together with the support from the conhIT Advisory Board and in co-operation with the partners BVMI and GMDS, with content-related contributions of KH-IT e.V. - the German Hospital IT Managers Association – and the working group of ALKRZ - the Managers of Clinical Data Centres of the German University Hospitals. The multifaceted topic of identification - the focus of the tradeshow EURO ID which takes place at the same time - will also be an element of the conhIT Congress.

The Netherlands are the partner country of conhIT 2011
There will be a Congress session put together by the partner country of conhIT 2011, the Netherlands. The official "Dutch Hour" on the second day of conhIT, and a "Matchmaking Event" at the Dutch Pavilion will bring together German exhibitors and attendees with the Dutch exhibitors (13 as of today).

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Marnix Krop, will deliver a welcome address during the opening ceremony, and so will the German Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Philipp Rösler, patron of conhIT 2011.

The conhIT Congress has been certified with 3 CME points per day by the Physicians' Association in Berlin. There will be simultaneous interpreting for the presentations into English or German.

Planning of the Networking Events of conhIT 2011 is now progressing at full speed. Delegates can extend their personal networks in the healthcare sector by attending selected events, discussion panels, round tables, XING meetings, workshops, as well as the cherished conhIT Party and the exclusive conhIT Gala, excursions to hospitals, and topic-oriented tours of the Industry exhibit.

conhIT - The Meeting Place of Healthcare IT
conhIT addresses the decisionmakers in the IT departments, in the management, medical and nursing departments as well as the practitioners, physicians' networks, and practitioner clinics who wish to inform themselves about current developments in healthcare IT, make contacts in the sector, and further educate themselves at a high level. conhIT, a comprehensive event which integrates an Industry exhibit, Congress, Academy, and Networking events during three days, offers all that is attractive for the sector. The event was initiated in 2008 by VHitG e.V. - the German Association of the Healthcare IT Industry, and it is organized by Messe Berlin. With more than 200 exhibitors and approximately 3,500 attendees, conhIT has developed, during the past years, into Europe's most relevant event on all aspects of IT in healthcare.
