Advanced 365 Will Host All Carewatch's IT systems in the Cloud

Carewatch, one of the UK's leading providers of home care, has selected Advanced 365 as its IT outsourcing provider. Advanced 365 will be hosting Carewatch's IT infrastructure in a private cloud environment. The contract is £1.1 million over a five year period and the go live is expected by the end of 2011.

The decision to move from internally managed IT to an outsourced IT service is driven by Carewatch's need to have a flexible IT platform to support growth and the organisation's desire to be at the cutting edge of care delivery. With Carewatch's applications on a cloud platform, they will be accessible by 400 end users through a secure internet connection from anywhere and at anytime.

Kevin Jezzard, Director of IT from Carewatch says, "We are a rapidly growing organisation with sites across the UK and so having our IT hosted in the cloud provides us with the flexibility and scalability to support growth and technological advancements, such as remote patient monitoring. With Advanced 365 supporting our IT, we are ideally placed to deliver first-rate and leading edge care."

All Carewatch's IT applications will be managed by Advanced 365 including StaffPlan, which is a staff rostering and scheduling system provided by Advanced 365's sister company, Advanced Health & Care. StaffPlan provides the home care industry with staff rostering and electronic call monitoring functionality and will be used across Carewatch's hundreds of branches and franchises across the country.

Advanced 365 will also be providing Carewatch with proactive monitoring and management of the cloud infrastructure 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, storage back-up and the management of Microsoft Exchange email using Microsoft Office 365.

Jezzard adds, "We expect greater resilience of our IT systems when we move across to Advanced 365’s services and we look forward to having instant access to a large pool of IT experts. Importantly, the cloud platform provides an excellent foundation for delivering innovative IT solutions moving forward, ensuring that we consistently deliver high quality care whilst maintaining and prolonging quality of life for all our patients."
