Shane Tickell, IMS MAXIMS CEO, said: "As covered in the press, we have recently been discussing the possibilities and advantages of making some of our software open source with NHS England.
"NHS England is leading the way in creating a "vibrant market" of national solutions and products that are available under open source licensing arrangements. Having a representative on our stand will give delegates, from IT directors to clinicians, an opportunity to ask any questions they may have on open source and its benefits, in an informal setting."
In addition to discussing open source, IMS MAXIMS will be demonstrating solutions that are proven to assist in meeting CQUIN targets. These include the MAXIMS Dementia Module and the IMS MAXIMS VTE (venous thromboembolism) Module.
Frazer Underwood, associate director of nursing, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) will be presenting on day one of the event in the Best Practice Showcase Theatre at 15.00. Underwood will be discussing how RCHT has become one of the first in the country to exceed all of its Commissioning Quality for Innovation (CQUIN) targets for dementia care, after deploying IMS MAXIMS software, which has enabled healthcare professionals to capture data to improve the identification, and quality of care of dementia patients.
The VTE Module that IMS MAXIMS will be demonstrating streamlines the VTE assessment process by linking the patient's record directly to a dashboard, which gives a complete overview which indicates immediately to VTE nurses and clinicians which patients are outstanding assessment, enabling them to reach the right patient at the right time. Hospitals across the country are implementing the product to improve patient safety meanwhile receiving payments from the CQUIN framework.
Delegates at the event will also be able see IMS MAXIMS showcase its successful Emergency Department (ED) system. The ED module, which includes graphical screens that allow the real-time tracking of all patients in an Emergency Department locally, regionally or even nationally.
Tickell added: "EHI Live is well known to focus on the frontline use of technology by IT staff and clinicians and will provide us with the perfect platform to highlight the benefits our range of solutions have to offer."
IMS MAXIMS will be exhibiting on stand A44, delegates are invited to come along to find out more about the PAS and EPR modules and the company’s current range of clinical healthcare information solutions.
