By supplying Philips CareSensus, a connected sensors platform, with the flexible Squid.link Gateway, Develco Products helps redefine the landscape of healthcare by means of IoT. "With Develco Products' Squid.link Gateway, we have found an off-the-shelf gateway that has the perfect fit technical wise as well as from a business point of view. "Always-on" care for seniors through wireless sensors monitoring
The CareSensus platform has been launched in the U.S. by Philips in partnership with one of the world’s largest home care providers. The platform consists of wireless sensors placed strategically in the home of seniors to provide 24/7 monitoring of their activities. Supplied with the Squid.link Gateway that supports Z-wave as one of numerous configuration options, the platform is compatible with a wide range of wireless sensors. This enables the CareSensus platform to collect real-time and reliable data from the sensors and process it to identify unusual patterns of the seniors.

The information is delivered to a remote care team and offers insights into the seniors’ particular needs. The gateway ensures that the delivered information is timely, enabling the remote care team to intervene before serious events occur.
