The agreement includes services, training and maintenance of Turriano, a robust regional primary care solution developed by iSOFT. Turriano is based on iSOFT's e-SIAP solution, and was developed under a 2003 SESCAM contract.
"Turriano is being referenced in other countries such as Portugal and Latin America," said Guillermo Ramas, iSOFT Managing Director for Southern Europe and Latin America. "It is a privilege for iSOFT to help SESCAM offer a quality healthcare service to its citizens with the objective of having a complete primary care medical record."
Turriano links some 200 care centres and more than 1,100 GP surgeries that make up the primary healthcare network across the SESCAM region. About 14,000 family doctors, nurses and other clinical professionals use the software to manage 113,000 appointments and 150,000 prescriptions daily to improve the quality of healthcare services for the regions more than 2 million patients.
