iSOFT Launches Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Healthcare Enterprise App

iSOFT Group LimitediSOFT Group Limited (ASX:ISF) has released a new Windows Phone 7 healthcare enterprise application for healthcare providers, the Lorenzo Smart Solutions Observations application.

The Lorenzo Smart Solutions Observations application for Windows Phone 7 allows clinicians to securely access patient lists and record observations for their patients on Windows Phone 7. No patient data is stored on the device. Providers decide whether to make the data available across just an organisation's WiFi network or any WiFi/3G connection.

Windows Phone 7 is a different kind of phone, designed to bring together what you care about most. Windows Phone organizes the things you care about to make finding those things easier and faster, as well as simplifying basic everyday tasks so you can do more in fewer steps. With Windows Phone 7, the things that matter most like people, games, music and video, photos and office productivity are organized through integrated experiences known as Hubs and fueled by the rich experiences of Xbox LIVE, Zune, Bing and Office. You can even pin your favorite apps, like the Lorenzo Smart Solutions Observations application for Windows Phone 7, to your Start screen.

Michael Dahlweid, iSOFT's Chief Medical Officer, said: "The Lorenzo Smart Solutions Observations application for Windows Phone 7 is part of iSOFTs Smart Solution strategy to provide sophisticated, market-specific functionalities to clinicians and administrative users as quickly and effectively as possible. These Lorenzo Smart Solutions provide modules of functionality to support particular business functions and can be delivered on devices appropriate for the consumer. Windows Phone 7 is set to become a key device for the healthcare professional enabling access to a multitude of functions and data sources from a single device, using an innovative user interface."

"Windows Phone 7 is backed by a rich developer ecosystem that is creating a variety of quality apps and games, like the Lorenzo Smart Solutions Observations application, that take advantage of the phone's unique features and design," said Todd Brix, senior director, Windows Phone Marketplace, Microsoft Corp. "The Lorenzo Smart Solutions Observations application is a great example of the kind of rich applications that people will find on Windows Phone Marketplace to get the most out of their phone," he continued.

The Windows Phone 7 and Lorenzo Smart Solution Observations application will be exhibited at various events over the coming months.
