The easy to use, interactive system has been designed to support efficient care delivery through the provision of real-time information, bespoke management reporting and a flexible platform to offer needs-based telecare solutions for residents with diverse requirements. The system meets the needs of today whilst accommodating the changing needs of residents and providers now and in the future.
Key features include:
- Newly styled speech module with choice of mounting options and colour combinations
- 'I'm OK' button to support resident independence and efficient care delivery
- Provides a platform for telecare excellence
The new system has been designed to support Tunstall's Housing Services Portal (HSP); the pioneering tablet-based scheme management application. HSP presents scheme managers with an easy-to-read graphic dashboard of resident activity to ensure their well-being. This enables managers to see at a glance if they need to prioritise a resident visit. HSP optimises care management time, improves operational efficiency, facilitates risk assessment and reassessment and reduces administration costs.
Simon Arnold, Managing Director at Tunstall, said: "Communicall Vi supports the safety and well-being of residents, without encroaching upon their independence, and also provides staff with the tools to deliver effective, high quality care. As highlighted in the CIH report, Delivering Housing, Health and Care Outcomes released earlier this year, there have been many exemplary cases where housing providers have embraced assistive technology solutions to drive forward the integration of health and social care services to bring improved outcomes for their residents, which is a really exciting step forward."
Tunstall has partnered with CIH to develop three key seminars on the latest innovations and best-practice. Kevin Alderson, Public Sector Policy Director at Tunstall Healthcare, will join CIH's Director of Health and Wellbeing, Domini Gunn, on the discussion panel for three high level summits which bring together housing, health and care leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the respective sectors. The summits, taking place at the Ideas Exchange on each of the three conference days, will focus on the challenge of funding the care of an ageing population, and how current and redesigned housing solutions, incorporating assistive technology, can provide effective outcomes for individuals and communities.
The CIH report, Delivering Housing, Health and Care Outcomes highlights how commissioners and providers can deliver cost effective improvements in health outcomes, while focusing on quality and efficiency. The report is informed by collective discussions and examples from leaders across the sector, gathered at two summits held in March. Exhibition attendees are invited to contribute to the debate around the report by visiting the Tunstall stand.
Presenting views from key industry figures, including representatives from the sector and leading professional stakeholders, and placing particular emphasis on the need for an improved understanding between housing, health and social care providers on the benefits of assistive technology, the final report will be available in the summer.
