Tunstall Healthcare and Qualcomm Collaborate for Global Deployment of Innovative Connected Care Services

TunstallQualcomm Life, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM), and Tunstall Healthcare, one of the leading providers of technology enabled care services, announced its collaboration to facilitate the cost effective global deployment of Tunstall's care provisions leveraging Qualcomm Life's 2net™ Platform.

The 2net Platform is a cloud-based, device-agnostic and interoperable system that enables end-to-end connectivity with an expansive variety of medical devices and applications, allowing users and their clinicians or caregivers to easily access biometric data. It alleviates the challenges of interoperability by making it easier for customers to liberate data from a patient's medical device through seamless data acquisition and transmission to the manufacturer’s interface of choice. The 2net Platform provides a comprehensive platform where near real-time data can be accessed by patients and clinicians, unlocking the potential for improved health care delivery.

Tunstall joins the large network of organisations that are leveraging the functionality of the open-standard 2net Platform as a Qualcomm Life Ecosystem member. As a member, Tunstall is able to meet its customers increasing expectations and deliver high-quality care and support worldwide. Through its collaboration with Qualcomm Life, Tunstall will add the 2net Hub and mobile applications to its product portfolio, in addition to integrating 2net into Tunstall’s existing telehealth systems.

Rick Valencia, senior vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Life said, "We value the opportunity to work with Tunstall, because they bring a world-renowned reputation, industry experience and proven results in scalability, which supports our mission to broaden the scope of telehealthcare. As health care monitoring shifts from acute-care settings to less-costly settings, like the patient’s home, our 2net Platform is bridging the technology gap. 2net is one of the only services on the market that combines a well-established, agnostic ecosystem of service providers and manufacturers, with a business model that supports scalability."

Steve Sadler, CTO, Tunstall commented, "Our collaboration with Qualcomm Life marks an important step in the development of our Bespoke care services, as we move towards an increasingly open-standard model of care provision. By joining the Qualcomm Life Ecosystem and integrating with the 2net Platform, we're able to provide our customers with access to a single source of information. We look forward to working closely with Qualcomm Life to extend our services further and identify opportunities for the ongoing integration of health and social care."
