Carestream HealthCarestream Health in France has signed a distribution agreement with Apelem, a subsidiary of the DMS Group in France. Under the terms of the agreement, Carestream can sell two new Platinum remote controlled radiographic tables developed by Apelem exclusively to customers in France and Belgium.

"We are extremely proud that Carestream Health, a world leader in the medical imaging field, should show interest in our new remote controlled radiographic table solution. This distribution contract is testament to the technological excellence of the Platinum table and confirms its major potential in the radiography market," said Jean-Paul Ansel, Managing Director of DMS. "Given the commercial power of Carestream Health, we believe that this agreement will represent a major component of growth for the next several years."

Distribution of the new Platinum dRF model with a fixed detector and the Platinum model with mobile detector and wireless functionality will complement the CARESTREAM DRX-1 family of highly productive capture systems for digital radiography. Founded on the wireless, cassette-size CARESTREAM DRX-1 detector, this portfolio currently includes the DRX-1 System that can convert analogue X-ray rooms to DR technology in less than one day; the DRX-Mobile Retrofit kit to upgrade mobile X-ray systems to wireless DRX-1 technology and a fully automated DRX-Evolution suite that offers virtually unlimited patient positioning.

"The agreement reached with DMS will enable us to offer a complete range of medical imaging systems to our French and Belgian customers”, said Anton Graule, European Sales & Business Development Manager, Medical Imaging Solutions, Carestream Health. "We have been particularly impressed by the technical capabilities of the Platinum radiographic table, as well as by its design and the diagnostic aids developed by DMS which make this table unique in its market."
