In this session two remarkable eHealth solutions from Estonia, included in the good eHealth knowledge base are put in the spotlight: the Digital Health Record, which is an internet-based EHR, and a nation-wide PACS. Both systems exchange healthcare data through the country and amongst multiple healthcare stakeholders through the use of standardized digital documentation and a central database repository.

This session will present two distinct electronic patient record implementation cases from England and Finland and take a look at how implementation improved access to information and transformed the role of the hospital in relationship to its patient. Both projects are included in the good eHealth knowledge base.
