ICT is important for health education, preventing illness and for making treatments safer.
It enables patients to participate in their own treatment, and medical treatments can be individually adapted to each patient. ICT introduces new and advanced techniques that cover everything from the molecular level to the whole body. The use of ICT in modelling and simulation is resulting in a new generation of predictive medicine. This way, ICTs can radically improve the quality and efficiency of our healthcare systems.
You can have more information about ICT in healthcare and see demonstrations of the technology at the exhibition.
