What does Europe need to go truly digital when it comes to healthcare? How can we ensure interoperability of mHealth solutions with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for Continuity of Care purposes? These are just some of the questions that the mHealth community in Europe has needed answers to for a long time.
On January 13, the European Commission's consultation on mHealth's results were published. European public authorities, healthcare providers, patients' organisations and web entrepreneurs have now spoken loud and clear, and these are the top three priorities on the mHealth agenda:
- Privacy and security
- Patient safety
- Clear legal frameworks
- Improved evidence on cost-effectiveness
Join the mHealth Summit Europe in May for the chance to discover what these survey results really mean and how they will be turned into policy actions in the near future.
The mHealth Summit Europe will be back in 2015 as a part of eHealth Week in Riga, Latvia. The Summit will be opening eHealth Week like no other event, providing international thought leadership on how we can fulfil the mHealth promise with a focus on "Revitalizing the mHealth Agenda in Europe". The event addresses opportunities and challenges, as well as strategies for taking mHealth from pilots to true implementation. Some highly anticipated topics include:
- mHealth and Big Data - how can we unite all patient data to accomplish personalized care?
- mHealth in Europe - one size does not fit all?
- Who apart from patients have interest in using mHealth? Who should be driving and paying for mHealth?
