Citizen Services for Borderless Healthcare in the EU: Current Situation - Vision - Solutions

9th September 2008, at the eHealth Conference 2008 in Kiel, Germany.
This workshop is dedicated to all those involved in the health sector, such as hospitals, health insurance companies, associations, and health service providers or consumer organisations. Although a lot has been achieved with respect to European integration there is still much to be done when it comes to cross-border health care.

2nd Baltic Conference on eHealth

The second Baltic Conference on eHealth - organized by the Baltic Sea Forum, the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, and IBM, in cooperation with the U.S. Commercial Service - will take place on September 26, 2008 (Hamburg, Germany) . The primary aim of the conference at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is to provide a cross sector forum for healthcare providers from Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

Transatlantic Symposium on the Societal Benefits of RFID

Summer School 2008 - Cardiovascular Applications of Molecular Imaging

This year's DiMI/EMIL Summer School will take place on 1st - 4th September at the University of Münster, Germany. In 2008, the Summer School of Molecular Imaging is focused on the application of molecular imaging on cardiovascular diseases. Various techniques of molecular imaging can be used for refined diagnosis of diseases responsible for the highest number of victims in industrialized countries.

ICT BIO 2008 - Combining the Power of ICT with Biomedical Sciences

Major diseases like cancer, neurological and cardiovascular diseases are complex in nature involving environmental, life style, ageing and genetic components. One of the future challenges is to integrate the knowledge of all these different components into robust and fully reliable computer models and "in silico" environments that will help the development and testing of new therapies for better prediction and prevention tools in healthcare.
