IMS MAXIMS to Announce New NHS Partnership at EHI Live 2012

IMS MAXIMSIMS MAXIMS will announce a new partnership that will provide a unique opportunity for healthcare organisations to work with one of the most technologically advanced trusts in the country and one of the UK's leading electronic patient record system providers at EHI Live on the 6-7 November 2012.

As well as talking to healthcare professionals at the show about how this partnership could enable their organisation to benefit from fully flexible, electronic health systems implemented by a team who has first hand and front line NHS experience, IMS MAXIMS will also provide demonstrations of its clinical and administrative systems and enable delegates to try them out to see how simple, innovative, highly functional, advanced and reliable they are.

Shane Tickell, CEO IMS MAXIMS said: "IMS MAXIMS continues to support EHI Live as the ultimate eHealth event. The event gives IMS MAXIMS the perfect platform to demonstrate to healthcare professionals, dedicated to improving patient care and safety, the work that we are involved in from deployments of major electronic patient record and clinical systems to our partnerships that will provide the NHS with unique and unrivalled benefits compared to those offered by traditional EPR providers."

Examples of products being demonstrated will include IMS MAXIMS' integrated care pathways, the new emergency department module as well as the system's ability to support NICE guidelines and its unique VTE and dementia assessment capability.

In addition, IMS MAXIMS has chosen EHI Live to reinforce its call for a national electronic patient information centre. The concept behind the initiative is to create a centrally funded, not-for-profit centre that is open all year round to provide an innovation forum designed to educate the NHS on electronic health issues. IMS MAXIMS is asking for anyone who would like to be involved in the initiative to visit stand B1 for more information.

Tickell said: "EHI Live is a great example of a healthcare event that helps the NHS to share innovation and best practice as well enabling attendees to be educated on policy issues and market changes.

"IMS MAXIMS believes that this great work and sharing of experiences provides fantastic value and should be extended across the whole year. Setting up a national electronic health centre open to clinicians, doctors, nurses, IT professionals and anyone with an interest in healthcare IT and improving our health service to compliment show like EHI Live would help to guarantee that. We believe that it is now prime time to ensure that the lessons learned in relation to NHS IT are not lost and that the NHS moves forward to become the best and most innovative health service in the world."
