The EU SME eHealth Competition

The EU SME eHealth Competition is an initiative that rewards the best eHealth solutions produced by European Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This 2014 competition organized by TICBioMed has the endorsement of the Health and Wellbeing Unit of the European Commission. The Competition recognizes the best eHealth SMEs at European level. They get visibility together with marketing opportunities to attract customers, partners and external capital.

The eHealth Competition Final this year will take place on the 2nd of April 2014 in Nice (France), as a satellite event of the World of Health IT conference.

In this edition of the Competition, there will be two Categories:

  • Promises: SMEs with annual turnover less than 500,000€ in 2012.
  • Champions: SMEs with annual turnover more than 500,000€ in 2012 (considering only the eHealth unit, in case the company has several divisions).

The Jury will award 6 winners: 1st, 2nd and 3rd per category.

The main criteria to select the winners will be technology innovation and shortterm impact.

Prizes
The prizes per Category consist of:

  • 1st prize: 1.000€, diploma and 1 delegate ticket free of charge for World of Health IT in 2015
  • 2nd prize: 500€, diploma and 1 delegate ticket free of charge for World of Health IT in 2015
  • 3rd prize: Diploma

    * ZENIT/NRW.EUROPA offers free participation at the international MEDICA Brokerage Event in 2014 for the 6 winners
    * Doctors 2.0 & You offers to two 1stplace category winners one ticket each to attend to their event in Paris, 5-6 June 2014, but also coverage in an article on the conference blog and a demo spot in the exhibit hall.
    * Healthstartup.eu will give for each winner 1 free entrance ticket and the opportunity to do a plenary demo/presentation at their next event.
    * DHealth will offer for the first prize, free membership of their Catalyst programme and also a complimentary copy of their latest market report "A strategic review of digital health". For the second prize will offer free membership of the Catalyst programme and the third prize will offer a 50% discount on Catalyst membership.
    * Med-e-Tel will provide to the first place winner in each category with a free registration and an opportunity to present a case study at MedeTel 2015.
