Key responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for mobile health projects and participate in the development of the mobile health strategy
- Develop scalable and innovative approaches to processing and analyzing data from mobile health devices
- Provide guidance on implementation (data integration and analysis) of devices into clinical research projects
- Integrate data from mobile devices with other data sources and develop statistical models that would generate new business and scientific insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal resources (biostatistician, clinical data manager, clinical project manager, scientists, medical directors, clinical IT specialist) on different health benefit areas
Education and experience
- University degree (MSc or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics or similar field
- Minimum 4 years’ experience using analytic software tools, statistical methodologies, and Business Intelligence on large data sets, preferably in life sciences
- Expertise with a statistical analysis tool such as SAS, R or related languages/environments
- Understanding of data architecture and data processing patterns
- Thorough experience with different machine learning methods: regression, classification, support vector machines, decision trees, clustering or other similar analyses
- Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret results
- A certain degree of knowledge on data privacy and security regulations would be an asset
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and to effectively communicate complex concepts and analytical results to a broad audience
