Digital Health Leader Neuroscience

The Digital Health Leader is a subject matter specialist for Digital Health and provides subject matter expertise to the Digital Health initiatives and business processes for the assigned programs within Medical Affairs covering the following areas:
  • Patient Identification - improved screening and stratification of patient populations
  • Disease Management - clinical grade information at the point of care informing decision-making
  • Outcomes & Value - Improved characterization of the patient experience
  • Develops standard processes, guidelines, and tools to accomplish the Digital Health programs, and ensures that they are performed in compliant and strategic manner
  • Provides expertise and innovation for Digital Health and drives implementation of the Digital Health programs across PDMA (Product Development Medical Affairs)

You will contribute to the strategy by

  • Contributing to the Digital Health (DH) 5 years strategy for PDMA, anticipates and identify business needs and priorities for the assigned programs
  • Developing the businesses processes in partnership with Digital Health Leadership Council, Digital Excellence, Regions and Legal
  • Providing strategic input to the DH team and partners across the organisation to align priorities and goals for DH programs
  • Being responsible for the Digital Health PDMA programs within TAs in partnership with PHC COE, REDs, US, Affiliates etc.)
  • Defining the Digital Health success metrics, reports and processes to measure the effectiveness of Digital Health programs for the assigned TAs and deliver output as appropriate to governance bodies
  • Providing subject matter expertise and insight in Digital Health for the medical network

You will be in charge of

  • Defining, improving and developing business and funding processes incl regulatory and compliance aspects and technology infrastructure striving for excellence in Digital Health implementation
  • Driving the implementation of Digital Health programs for the assigned therapeutic areas through new business model for PDMA and affiliates
  • Driving effective utilization and further development of Digital Health knowledge tools and platforms to achieve standard methodology in Digital Health planning and cross-functional coordination
  • Leading the strategic planning of Digital Health solutions for the assigned Therapeutic Areas as part of the medical planning process and ensure implementation for the assigned Therapeutic Areas in close collaboration with Global Medical Teams
  • Defines the Digital Health agency and technology providers identification and management approach for the assigned programs, in collaboration with procurement and Healthcare Technology Office
  • Provides key subject matter expertise to build the Digital Health competency and required skills for PDMA in collaboration with Medical Excellence
  • Maintain the PDMA Digital Health content & education in PDMA

You will act as a strategic collaborator

  • Developing a close collaboration with the key partners on the program, including Disease Area Heads, Steering Comitee Head/GL SC and Global Medical Team Leaders to understand their needs, strategic priorities, and pain points, as well as gather insights
  • Ensuring efficient communication and working relationship with internal partners (e.g. Medical Affairs, HTO, Digital Excellence, Strategic Innovation, Regulatory, Compliance, IT, Legal etc.), US Medical Affairs, Affiliates/Regions and external technology providers
  • Developing external collaborations in the Digital Health space to advance our PDMA strategic Digital Health portfolio
  • Contributing to the creation of a Digital Health community across the affiliates and Global and fosters experience sharing

You have the opportunity to work in compliance

  • Working with Regulatory, Legal, Safety and Compliance to assess gaps and needs on business and compliance processes related to Digital Health activities for PDMA and affiliates
  • Taking responsibility for acting in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice (such as Roche Code of Conduct and any other Roche directives and guidelines)
  • Completing all required training modules as a priority and is responsible for all team members to act similarly

Professional and Technical Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in science or biology related field
  • An advanced degree, (e.g. MBA, PhD, PharmD, MD, Engineer) is strongly preferred
  • Expertise in Neuroscience/Neurology strongly preferred
  • You have expertise in Digital Health and preferably in Medical Affairs

Your experience and skills involve

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry or related experience (preferably in positions related to Digital Health) and preferably in Neuroscience/Neurology
  • Experience with key aspects of Digital Health activities, and healthcare professional (HCP) and patient/ patient groups interactions strongly preferred
  • Experience in successfully handling agencies and working with technology providers
  • Experience as a successful conclusive leader in a multi-functional environment
  • Shown ability to work in a matrix setting
  • Relevant scientific knowledge
  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge and understanding /experience with regulatory requirements and commercialization processes
  • Appreciates the diversity of working in a multi-functional and multi-cultural environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Digital Health solutions skills
