Carestream Debuts Time-Saving Business Intelligence/Reporting Dashboard

CarestreamCarestream's new Vue Beyond for Radiology delivers a real-time view of departmental workflow that can help radiology administrators improve productivity and profitability. The Vue Beyond business intelligence and reporting dashboard, which is currently available for order, shows a real-time queue of studies waiting for report, report turnaround time per radiologist and productivity levels for every member of the imaging department.

"Being able to easily view these metrics helps radiology directors detect and understand any bottlenecks that exist in the departmental workflow. Vue Beyond also equips administrators with business intelligence so they can better manage personnel and equipment, enabling shorter patient wait times and enhanced profitability," said Cristine Kao, Carestream's Global Marketing Manager for Healthcare Information Solutions.

Without automated tools, managers can spend hours collecting data from EMR, RIS and PACS and other systems to create reports that show overall departmental productivity and utilisation. Real-time business intelligence not only helps administrators improve departmental workflow, it can also improve the efficiency and accuracy of departmental reporting.

Vue Beyond tracks study volumes, modality usage, patient type and critical results notification. It can be used to manage multiple sites with a single, web-based point of access to relevant information.

Expanded Features for Image Viewer
Carestream's Vue Motion vendor-neutral imaging viewer provides on demand access to images, data and reports from workstations or mobile devices like the iPad. This helps equip physicians to provide more responsive patient care. Embedding the viewer in an EMR can further streamline data access.

New features for the popular viewer include the display of current and prior images side-by-side and the ability for clinicians to input order notes to the exam. These new capabilities can facilitate collaboration between referring physicians, specialists and other clinicians.

The latest version of the viewer is now available for order.
